ABOUT PORTLAND NOISE

​Think of Portland Noise as a live music utility.

​

Portland Noise is a community resource for fans of live music and musicians in the greater Portland area. This project is attempting to list every live music event in one consolidated place, mapping out the soundscape of the city on any given night and in turn strengthening the live music scene.

​

The simple idea is to get more people out to shows by providing a listings platform for all Portland’s live music events, with a focus on showcasing Maine-based artists. So keep sending your shows, big or small, DIY or legit, free or ticketed. There will always be equal exposure and attention given to both new bands playing their first show and established groups on tour.

​The goal is to include every artist, band, venue, and relevant show details, however things will be missed or may not be accurate, as Portland Noise is a one person operation. In the inevitable case of missing events or details, I encourage the community to submit changes or updated information. With your help, we can make this website a complete source for all things live music in Portland.
